How different do you want to be?

Someone recently told me that I could make a name for myself by being a "different photographer."  I loved to hear that, in fact it made my evening and gave me lots to think about.  I want to be different, I want to produce work that is thought provoking, artistic, controversial, etc.  But when it comes to weddings, seniors, kids, and families, how different do you want to be?  What do you want from me?  What are your ideas?  I think sometimes we all have a different view of ourselves.  We know what we want to look like and we know what we look like.  The big question is, how do others view us?  I've always wondered that about myself, but almost afraid to ask.  When people come to me, I see a lot of beauty and a lot of apprehension about having their photo taken.  You can trust me and you can be different with me, it's an experience we can share together.  I hope you enjoy the following photo.  It is one of my favorite senior shots.
